Santa Clara Unified School District (SCUSD) is committed to providing students with responsive support services that support their academic, social, emotional, and behavioral needs.
As part of our efforts to continually assess and improve our student support systems and school climate, students in grades 3-12 are being invited to participate in a Social Emotional Learning (SEL) Survey to help us better understand how students’ perceptions of academic behaviors, learning strategies, and their school and classroom environments relate to academic achievement.
While student information is attached to the survey data, we will not be looking at individual responses but rather exploring how patterns of responses are linked to student outcomes. If you prefer that your student not take the survey, please reach out to your site principal.
The survey will be administered from February 6-17, 2023, during class. The SEL Survey has 21 questions to gauge social-emotional learning with additional grade-appropriate questions about college and career readiness. It is expected to take 30 minutes to complete.
You can review the SEL Survey questions using the links below at any time:
If you have specific questions about the survey administration at your site, please reach out to your site principal, or contact District Social Worker Myrna Zendejas at mzendejas@scusd.net.
